FIPADOC in Biarritz: Call for Entries for 2026

The Call for Entries 2026 is now open for FIPADOC, the Biarritz documentary festival scheduled for January 21-31, 2026. Films can be submitted until early October, according to the criteria established by the festival.

FIPADOC is the first major international event of the year for documentary cinema: for 2026, it is scheduled in Biarritz from January 23 to 31. The program will consist of 180 documentary films, alongside the best French and international immersive experiences at The Smart, with a free and open-to-all programming.

In particular, the 2026 edition organizes a spotlight for the Iberian Peninsula.

The Call for Entries is open for all documentary narrative forms, from short films to series, including immersive experiences until:

  • September 26, 2025 for French-language films already broadcast or distributed, to be presented in the non-competitive sections or in the Francophone Panorama selection
  • October 6, 2025 for unreleased films, to be presented in the Grand Prix competition and other competitive sections

In 2024, Italy was selected as Territory – Focus, including the programming of projects among the most recent and important of national production. On that occasion, the Industry Days program featured a large Italian delegation and the Italian Film Commission Association, thanks to which TFI Torino Film Industry's partners Film Commission Torino Piemonte and Doc/it also participated in the festival.
