The story of TFI Torino Film Industry 7 with the voices of its protagonists

"Torino Film Industry is the annual gathering place": this is how its participants to the 7th edition of TFI Torino Film Industry describe the market in a new video featuring the voices of its protagonists.

TFI Torino Film Industry, founded in 2018 with the aim of enhancing the potential of Torino's film industry, has developed a solid structure over the years, providing national and international professionals with an increasingly cross-cutting program of events that engages the entire audiovisual industry. The November 2024 edition closed with steadily growing attendance figures, demonstrating its identity as a hub for independent co-production and its positioning among the b-to-b events in the national and international audiovisual industry.

The event for film professionals at the end of November, organized in conjunction with and in collaboration with the Torino Film Festival, is a meeting place where the activities of the initiative's founders — Film Commission Torino Piemonte, the market's coordinator since its inception, TorinoFilmLab, and the Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio with ShorTO Film Market — come together. These activities are complemented by collaboration with the Museo Nazionale del Cinema through, for the seventh edition, the Lovers Film Festival and the Festival Cinemambiente. As usual, the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo with onLive Campus was also present, as will the "Partner Event" IDS Italian Doc Screenings, a flagship event of Doc/it – Associazione Documentaristi Italiani.

"There's so much positivity because so many people want to make themselves known and enter the field": with a program of panels and workshops dedicated to everyone, from absolute beginners to the most prominent figures in the Italian and international film and audiovisual industry, TFI Torino Film Industry explores topics such as international co-production, project development, the short film market, on-set professions, culture and environmental sustainability, LGBTQIA+-themed cinema, the relationship between live performance and new technologies, and training and development for young filmmakers, topics that will once again be the focus of TFI Torino Film Industry 8.

Promoted by the Regione Piemonte and the Città di Torino and produced with the support of the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the Camera di Commercio di Torino, TFI Torino Film Industry 8 will kick off on Thursday, November 20th and continue until Tuesday, November 25th at the historic headquarters of the Circolo dei lettori in Torino.
