The second event of TFI Torino Film Industry Extended, organized by Film Commission Torino Piemonte as part of the Glocal Film Festival, is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th. “Piemonte a tutto cinema: un'istantanea Glocal” is a focus dedicated to exploring and promoting the professional figures in the local sector.
Within the context of the Glocal Film Festival, the event dedicated to Piemonte-based cinematography and directed by Alice Filippi – together, for this edition, with the President of Piemonte Movie, Alessandro Gaido – which takes place in Torino and Piemonte from November 11th to 15th, Film Commission Torino Piemonte organizes “Piemonte a tutto cinema: un'istantanea Glocal” – the second of the TFI Torino Film Industry Extended events.
A focus to investigate and enhance the professional figures of the sector – talents, professionals, and institutions of the territory. A discussion among professionals, companies, and industry experts on change, training, and new perspectives, to reflect on the cinema that is born and develops through the places we inhabit. An opportunity to delve into the consolidated and identity-defining link between the audiovisual sector and Piemonte, through the voices of those whose work contributes to solidifying it.
Divided into three acts, the event proposes a first closed-door session structured into working tables on three research and planning themes, dedicated to writing, professionals, and infrastructure. Hosted at the headquarters of Film Commission Torino Piemonte, the tables – each led by a representative of FCTP, a representative of Rete Cinema Piemonte APS, and a representative of CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo Piemonte – will investigate, respectively: the way in which Torino and Piemonte can increasingly become an attractive hub for those who write cinema and a fertile ground for new voices and expressive modalities capable of redefining the world; the tools to consolidate and increase the quantity and quality of work, identifying supply chain gaps, training instruments, and positioning strategies in the national and international scenario; the complex network of professionals, companies, services, locations, infrastructure, including sound stages, post-production and VFX studios, and private facilities currently undergoing expansion, with the aim of consolidating, developing, and promoting it in the global market.
Starting at 5:30 PM, the presentation of the Regional Network of Film Commission Torino Piemonte will be held by its Manager, Davide Bracco, as a tool for the development of a widespread film industry across over 160 municipalities in the territory. Joining him, in addition to Alessandro Gaido and Paolo Manera (Director, Film Commission Torino Piemonte), will be institutional representatives and others for specific regional case studies: for Acqui Terme, the Mayor Danilo Rapetti; for Alessandria, the Mayor Giorgio Abonante, Giulia Beltrami from Officinema, and Luca Ribuoli, director and co-artistic director of Ottobre Alessandrino; for Ivrea, the Mayor Matteo Chiantore and Filippo Ghisi, UNESCO Site Manager.
The day of meeting and discussion will conclude with a summary of the working tables and a moment of dialogue among all participants, in view of the meetings with all national and international guests during the next TFI Torino Film Industry (November 20th–25th, 2025).
To participate in the public events, it is necessary to register via the specific FORM.
