Script Fest: the festival program from April 16 to 19, 2026 in Bra

From April 16 to 19, 2026, the first edition of SCRIPT Fest - Screenwriting Festival – presented during TFI Torino Film Industry 8 – will take place in Bra, an event that enters the panorama of film festivals with a mission: to bring writing back to the center of the debate on the contemporary imagination.

Under the artistic direction of screenwriter and director Stefano Sardo, with the patronage of Writers Guild Italia and 100autori, and the presence of prominent international guests, SCRIPT Fest is born as a new event dedicated to writing for films and series (for more information, see here).

In Bra, from April 16 to 19, 2026, authors, actors, and audiovisual professionals will meet through panels, screenings, and masterclasses to discuss firsthand how films and series are conceived, developed, and brought to life. Four days to delve into the stories that then make it to the screen.

It all kicks off on Thursday the 16th at 8:00 PM at the centrally located Cinema Impero with a major international screenwriter: the screening of The Great opens the festival and introduces the Masterclass by its creator, Tony McNamara, one of the most exciting names on the contemporary scene.

The festival really gets going on Friday the 17th. At 3:00 PM at the BPER Auditorium, the first panel, titled "How Do You Become a Screenwriter?", will focus on training and access to the profession. Speakers will include Viola Rispoli, author of Doc and other successful series, and Annamaria Granatello, President of the Premio Solinas. The day continues in the other theater in the center of Bra, the Cinema Vittoria: at 4:00 PM, the screening of the pilot of the Netflix series Storia della mia famiglia will be held, followed by a masterclass by authors Filippo Gravino and Elisa Dondi. At 8:00 PM, there will be a screening of Le assaggiatrici, narrated by authors Lucio Ricca and Ilaria Macchia.

On Saturday the 18th, the Script Fest kicks off in the morning. It begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Cinema Vittoria with a screening of The Favourite, followed by another masterclass by Tony McNamara. In the afternoon, the program moves to the BPER Auditorium at 3:00 p.m. for "The Age-Old Question of Development (Part I)", an open discussion involving various industry figures, from Sky's Nils Hartman to Wildside's Claudio Falconi, independent producers Federico Scardamaglia and Simonetta Amenta, and authors Michele Pellegrini. The Script Fest then returns to the Cinema Vittoria: here, at 4:00 p.m., Stefano Bises and Davide Serino present the pilot of the acclaimed series M – Son of the Century, followed at 6:00 p.m. by the eagerly awaited panel "How to Read a Script," featuring actors Guido Caprino, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Matilda Lutz, and Elena Radonicich, and director Francesco Amato from Bra. The evening concludes at the Cinema Vittoria with a screening of this year's David di Donatello-winning film, Le città di pianura, introduced by its authors Francesco Sossai and Adriano Candiago.

On Sunday the 19th, the Script Fest returns to the Cinema Impero for its final day, with an interlude at 3:00 PM at the BPER Auditorium for "The Age-Old Question of Development (Part II)". In the morning, at 10:00 AM, there's Vita da Grotti, presented by authors Sofia Assirelli and Tieta Madia, while the afternoon is dedicated to La valle dei sorrisi, with Jacopo Del Giudice, Paolo Strippoli, and Milo Tissone.

The festival concludes at 7:00 PM; this will be followed by a screening of The Roses, written by Tony McNamara and introduced by the author.

Admission is free, with no reservations required, subject to availability.
