15 Aprile 2026

The first AVENUE event organized by the XR Ecosystem will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with guest Martina Scarpelli – a masterclass entitled "Beyond the Screen: Museum Wibergis Case Study" dedicated to the interaction between visual reality, animation, and exhibition and spatial contexts.
The European AVENUE – ERASMUS+ project connects five European ecosystems to strengthen skills, training, and career opportunities in the creative visual industries. The project focuses on professional and vocational education in areas such as animation, games, virtual production, visual storytelling and extended reality, while also rethinking how teaching and learning are delivered in formal education.
Within this project, Film Commission Torino Piemonte is the Ecosystem Driver for the XR delegation – together with the Politecnico di Torino (Education), Prodea Group (Industry Partner), CSC Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Sede Piemonte Animazione and Cartoon Italia (Associated Partners).
The first session for students will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Film Commission Torino Piemonte headquarters - Sala Paolo Tenna: a masterclass by Martina Scarpelli – director, creative director, and producer trained at the Accademia di Brera and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, and based in Denmark since 2015 – who is the creative director of audiovisual productions at the Museum Wibergis, a researcher at The Animation Workshop (VIA University College), and a director and co-producer of animated documentaries.
With "Beyond the Screen: Museum Wibergis Case Study," Scarpelli will present a case study on audiovisual projects created for the Museum Wibergis. The session explores how animation can operate in exhibition and spatial contexts, highlighting the relationship between animated images, physical space, and the audience's experience. It will also demonstrate how virtual reality can be used in the development phase to previsualize the space and design the interaction between content and the exhibition environment.
Access to the masterclass is free, but registration is required using the dedicated form.
The event is organized by Politecnico di Torino as part of the European AVENUE CoVE project, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Sede Piemonte Animazione and Film Commission Torino Piemonte.
